Installation Process
Expert installation made easy.
VELUX® skylight systems and Sun Tunnel® Skylights can be installed in flat or vaulted ceilings in two worry-free phases: rooftop and interior. The pros at Wisconsin Sunlight Solutions, LLC - Neenah will recommend where skylight systems should be installed, so you can reap the maximum benefit from the natural light and fresh air they provide.
Installation Types
The Room
VELUX trained pros will come inside for interior finish work and possible painting. If you have a flat ceiling, your installer will use drywall or other finish material to build a shaft from the skylight to direct the daylight into the room. This phase takes around half a day per skylight.
The Rooftop
VELUX trained pros will cut a hole and fasten the VELUX skylight to the roof with three layers of protection to prevent leaks. Depending on the circumstances such as roof pitch and weather, the rooftop phase can take between one and three days.

The Room
VELUX trained pros will cut a hole in the ceiling to install the lower portion of the reflective tube between the roof and ceiling.
The Rooftop
VELUX trained pros will cut a hole in the roof and install the top collar, the upper portion of the reflective tunnel, the lens and the flashing.

There may be a small amount of interior drywall work depending on your replacement situation, but the majority of the replacement process will take place on the roof.

THE VERY Best! Prompt, Professional replacement of Two Skylight Velux Windows- our two older version Velux sky light windows started to leak- we called the manufacturer and they immediately suggested Wisconsin Sunlight Solutions- they are the Manufacturer Authorized Company for service and repair of Velux windows. We were very impressed from beginning to end how polite, professional and thorough everyone was from the company. Replacement Work was quickly completed and we had no problems. Dan and his entire staff starting with receptionist Jenny - are terrific - very helpful and totally professional. We had 5 skylights replaced by Wis Sunlight Solutions. The crew was very well organized and efficient. All materials were collected and disposed of as the job progressed. The work was FIRST CLASS!!! I normally don't write reviews, but felt the need to do so in this case. I would give more than 5 stars on this review if I could. Dan Strum and team installed two skylights for us in early June 2021. Dan and his crew were extremely professional and did an excellent job in the installation. I also interacted with Dan and the crew enough to see that they are good people as well. They far exceeded my expectations and go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. They are fast, and have skylight installs down to a science. I would strongly recommend using WSS for your skylight needs.

We had three skylights installed on May 8th. We are very happy with the product and the service we received from Wisconsin Sunlight Solutions. Dan and Josh were very professional and friendly. We have never seen any contractor work so hard and treat our home with such respect. They left our property spotless, even cleaning our deck and driveway to insure that no debris was left behind. Two years ago, my wife and I wanted to have two skylights installed in our living room. We checked out several dealers. Dan Strum of Wisconsin Sunlight Solutions came out and very nicely presented what his company could do for us. We were impressed with his presentation so we decided to go with Wisconsin Sunlight Solutions. Shortly thereafter, they came out and installed two skylights in our living room.
