Tile Installation
Ensure grout joints are centered and minimized, creating a solid surface appearance. Ensure proper sealing of grout and treatment to reduce wear and discoloration over time. Tile spacing is centered on the room or cabinets.
Countertop | Backsplash
Take precise measurements after cabinets install for a perfect fit. Seal joint between countertop and backsplash to prevent buildup of dirt and grime. Ensure backsplash ends in the right place to create crisp aesthetic separation.
Paint Finish
Apply paint with the best finish quality – tight and crisp paint lines and consistent cutter throughout. Prepare the surface for smooth and consistent paint application without brush marks or paint fading.
Appliance Installation
Ensure appliances are installed correctly with consideration of clearance for doors, other appliances, furniture, and walkways. Properly match electrical loads and appropriate air gaps, and test functionality of all appliances.
Cabinetry
Coordinate installation with flooring to avoid surface gaps. Prepare the wall and level the floor for smooth installation with minimal adjustments.
Mechanical | Electrical | Plumbing
Logically place and install electrical outlets for optimal space functionality. All mechanical, electrical and plumbing work must be code compliant.

We do all the worrying
The Skylight construction monitoring process is frequent and rigorous to identify potential issues before they happen.

We guarantee the quality of your renovation against specific standards for each aspect of construction. Skylight has specific, published standards for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation, drywall quality, cabinetry installation, tiling, painting and fine carpentry. We conduct a detailed quality audit at each stage of the construction process, including demolition, framing, MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), drywall and finishing installation. The Skylight final quality audit includes a forty-point evaluation of every aspect of the final renovation product, right down to the detail of your grout lines, the smoothness of your sink tap motion, and the detailing on your trim. If there are any issues short of everything being exactly right, we’ll fix them with no cost and no hassle for you.
