David J. Schofield - Chairman of the Board
David Schofield joined Skylight® Healthcare Systems in April 2001 bringing with him diversified Senior Executive experience in strategic and operational management. He has extensive experience in expanding and supporting multi-unit organizations both domestically and internationally. In his role as President and CEO of eDiets.com, the leading weight loss website on the Internet, David produced profitability and a positive cash flow for the first time in the company’s history. Prior to eDiets.com, he served as President and CEO of Rexall Showcase International where he developed the strategic business plan that brought increased global revenues from $70 million to $173 million within three years. During his tenure, he developed and launched new product lines, expanded into new global markets, created Rexall’s Internet business model, Rexall.com, and developed one of the best management teams within the industry. Prior to Rexall, David was the Vice President and General Manager of Office Depot, a $10 billion retailer, where he realized a dramatic improvement in profitability and developed a new state-of-the-art retail concept called “Images” that was labeled as the leader within its market. Before Office Depot he worked ten years with PIP Printing, Inc., which had 1,200 franchise retail locations that generated close to $300 million in sales, and held the title of Senior Vice President of Domestic and International Operations. David received his MBA from Pepperdine University and his Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University.


Jim Dreyfous - Board Member
Jim Dreyfous co-founded and has been a General Partner of UV Partners since 1986. He has worked with every one of UV Partners' portfolio companies and has been a Board member of 12 of those companies. Mr. Dreyfous exemplifies the UV focus and approach: active with founders and directors; experienced in building and developing management teams; adept at accessing relationships which allow for attraction of expertise and capital at every stage of a company's growth. Mr. Dreyfous' earlier career experience was focused in commercial banking, private investments, and small business management. He was an officer of Citicorp and Bankers Trust, and was Director of Finance for a privately held oil and gas company. He has a BA in Economics from Middlebury College.


Kevin Fickenscher, MD, CPE, FACPE, FAAFP - Board Member
Dr. Kevin Fickenscher has extensive clinical, healthcare management, global technology and health information management experience. He currently serves as the CMO and Executive VP of Healthcare Transformation for Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER), a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions. Prior to Perot Systems, he served as the CMO at WebMD Corporation, and National Director and Partner for Clinical Transformation within the Global Health Solutions Group at Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC). In addition, he served as the Senior VP and CMO for Aurora Health Care and as the Senior VP and CMO for Catholic Healthcare West. He is a member of the Providence Health System Board of Directors and has previously held various positions on boards including: Catholic Health Initiatives; Daou Systems, Inc. [NASDAQ: DAOU]; National Rural Health Association; Catholic Health Corporation; Sisters of Charity Health Care System; and Health Forum. He contributed to academia as a founder of The Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota, and as the Assistant Dean and President/CEO of the Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. He also served as the President of the American Medical Student Association. Other accolades include: a Kellogg National Fellowship Award [1985]; nationally recognized as one of six Emerging Leaders in Healthcare for 1991 by Healthcare Forum and Korn/Ferry International; regional finalist for The White House Fellows Program; and recipient of North Dakota Leadership Award of Excellence. Recently, he was appointed to the American Hospital Association “Blue Ribbon Task Force on Hospital Governance”, which focuses on best practices related to hospital governance and defines innovative governance strategies. Dr. Fickenscher received his M.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and his Family Practice Board certification thereafter. He is a Certified Physician Executive and Fellow with the American College of Physician Executives and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.


John B. Grotting - Board Member
John Grotting has been CEO of medical device reprocessor, Ascent Healthcare Solutions, since February 2004, including having served as Chairman and CEO of Alliance Medical Corporation prior to the merger with Vanguard Medical Concepts in December 2005. Prior to Ascent, Mr. Grotting served as Chairman/CEO of Bridge Medical, Inc., a medical software company focused on eliminating preventable medication, lab specimen and blood transfusion errors in hospitals. After successful commercialization of Bridge Medical technology, the company was acquired by AmerisourceBergen. Previously, he served in executive positions at Minnesota-based Allina Health System and Oregon based Legacy Health System. Mr. Grotting holds a Master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Economics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He serves on the boards of Vantage Oncology and Skylight Healthcare Systems.


Ken Hanover - Board Member
Ken Hanover has a distinguished 30-year career in healthcare and is currently President and CEO of the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.  Health Alliance is an integrated health care system comprised of The Christ Hospital, University Hospital, St Luke Hospitals, the Jewish Hospital and Fort Hamilton Hospital.  He is responsible for the organization and strategic development of the Alliance and for the financial and operational performance of the system.  The Alliance employs approximately 12,000 FTEs and has an operating budget in excess of $1.2 billion.  Prior to the Health Alliance, Mr. Hanover held positions as:  President and CEO of Main Line Health System, consisting of three acute care hospitals, an acute rehabilitation hospital, a home healthcare company and a physician acquisition and management company; and President and CEO of The Bryn Mawr Hospital and The Lankenau Hospital.  Mr. Hanover’s earlier career focused on hospital operations, corporate planning and marketing as Senior Vice President of Main Line Health, a four-hospital heath care system, Chief Operating Officer of HealthLink of Portland, a multi-institutional health care system comprised of four hospitals, a home health care agency, a PPO, a durable medical equipment company and an HMO; Senior Vice President, Marketing, Managed Care and Corporate Planning of HealthLink and Vice President, Health Policy and Regulation of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Hanover holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts.


Don Milder - Board Member
Don Milder is a Managing Director at Versant Ventures, a leading healthcare focused, venture capital firm. Don has been involved as a first round investor and Board Member in over 20 companies, and as one of the pioneer investors in the healthcare service segment, Don has developed a widely successful model for early stage health service investing. Prior to Versant, Don led Crosspoint Venture Partners’ healthcare investing effort for 11 years. He also was CEO of Infusion Systems, a former Crosspoint investment, where he directed the development, manufacturing and marketing of disposable medical delivery devices. Don also held positions in business development and marketing with Dynatech and Eastman Kodak. He holds a B.A. from Union College and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.


Robert Schulz - Board Member
Bob Schulz is a Partner at CB Health Ventures. Bob joined CB Health Ventures after serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Harris & Harris Group, a publicly traded, closed-end venture capital fund. Prior to Harris & Harris, Mr. Schulz spent ten years in the corporate finance department of Credit Suisse First Boston. As a chemical engineer, Mr. Schulz held various research related positions at Chevron Research Company, Exxon Research and Engineering Company, and DuPont. Mr. Schulz received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Master's degree in Business Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Caremedic Systems, ForHealth Technologies, CorSolutions, HMD and Passport Health Communications.
